Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

                                                                                                1 Timothy 4: 12

Christian Formation
The journey of faith takes a lifetime.  At St. Matthew's, the mission and the challenge are to create a learning environment where people of all ages can discover themselves as children of God and faithfully discern and live out the ministries to which they are called.
EYC
Youth activities are scheduled every weekend and are a mix of Christian formation, recreation, and outreach opportunities.  Activities have included: mission trips, movie nights, lake and pool parties, ice skating, lock-ins, a Halloween carnival, work at the soup kitchen, Habitat for Humanity, Advent wreath-making, bowling, plays for the congregation, trips to other churches, an annual Super Bowl touch football game and party, Lenten Bible Studies, Vacation Bible School, and Diocesan events.

Sunday School
For Preschool through Sixth Grade
Sunday School is provided each Sunday at 10:15 A.M. during the school year.  The foundation for instruction in these classes is the Episcopal Church curriculum, which is implemented by a creative and energetic team of parish volunteers.

Adult Christian Formation
Classes for adults are also held during the Sunday School hour.  These classes are led by the rector and by other lay facilitators.  Topics of study have included books of the Bible, the Book of Common Prayer, world religions, various theologians, and contemporary issues.

Prime Timers
Must be at least 55 years young and free to have fun!  This dynamic group of seniors leads our community in finding new and exciting ways to combine fellowship, service and outreach.  The Prime Timers met for the first time in April 1993 with 10 members who decided that they would have a group with one officer - a treasurer to collect dues of $1.00 per month (not mandatory) to provide flowers and gifts for members that might be sick or in the hospital.  Today, there are 30 members and room for more.
